Diuretics should only be used for elderly CHFers or
those with diastolic heart failure when they are
specifically needed to treat or prevent fluid retention.
	In such patients, diuretics should be started at
a low dose and gradually withdrawn after congestion has
improved. Long term diuretic use in such patients should
be regularly reviewed and gradual withdrawal or dose
reduction considered if possible.
